Ayilya Pooja

Ayilya Pooja is the headline observance on Ashlesha (Ayilyam) nakshatra — the formal pooja sacred to the Nagas (serpent deities) and to Lord Subramanya. It is the central rite of the monthly Ayilyam day at our temple.

• Archana in the name of the devotee + their family (Gotra + Nakshatra recited)
• Dhupam (incense offering)
• Deeparadhana before the Naga vigraha + Subramanya vigraha
• Mantra Pushpam — flower offering with mantras
