Sacred Rejuvenation

Naveekarana Kalasam

The Sacred Rejuvenation of Divine Presence

Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa! · Dear Devotees

As ordained in the eternal Agama Shastras that guide the construction and worship of our Sree Ayyappa Temple in Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru, the Naveekarana Kalasam is the most revered Mahayagna of renewal. This profound 11-day Tantric ritual (24 May to 8 June 2026) ceremonially re-energises the Panchaloha idol of Lord Ayyappa with fresh, vibrant Prana Shakti (divine life force).

"By initiating the construction of a temple for the Lord, the sins of seven births are cleansed."
— Vamana Purana

This sacred rite restores and amplifies the eternal spiritual presence of our beloved Dharma Sastha. Through powerful Vedic mantras and time-honoured Agama procedures — Kalasa Pratishtapana, Ashtabandha rituals, and Sahasra Kalasabhishekam — the Deity is bathed in sanctified waters, sacred copper plates are enshrined, and the Garbhagriha is filled with divine vibrations that awaken every devotee's heart.

The Ayyappa Gayatri Mantra

ॐ भूतनाथाय विद्महे । भवपुत्राय धीमहि ।
तन्नो शास्ता प्रचोदयात् ॥

Om Bhūtanāthāya Vidmahe
Bhava Putrāya Dhīmahi
Tanno Śāstā Pracodayāt

"We meditate upon the Lord of all beings, the Son of Shiva and Mohini; may that Dharma Sastha (Ayyappa) illumine our intellect and guide us on the path of righteousness."

Chanted thousands of times by the Agama-expert priests and devotees, this mantra — along with Prana Pratishta bijaksharas and Vedic Suktas — infuses the idol with renewed cosmic energy. It echoes the grand Pran Pratishtha ceremonies at Ayodhya's Ram Mandir in 2024 and the majestic rejuvenation rituals at the ancient Somnath Jyotirlinga — historic events that purified the land, uplifted generations, and brought peace and prosperity to all who participated.

A Sacred Moment Honoured

The Pratishta stands fulfilled

On Sunday 31 May 2026 at 7:30 AM (Anizham Nakshatram), the sacred precincts of Yeshwanthpur Sree Ayyappa Temple resounded with Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa as the air filled with sandalwood and camphor. The golden Kalasams were poured over the Garbhagriha — the culminating moment of the Pratishta of Lord Ayyappa, along with Ganapathi, Subramanya, and the Nagas.

Every devotee who participated in this once-in-a-lifetime Mahayagna — through Sankalpa, Archana, Pushpanjali, or generous sponsorship — has received the boundless blessings of Dharma Sastha. Their devotion is now permanently part of this historic Kshetra Nirmana Yagnam, cleansing karma, granting Shreyas (spiritual progress), and filling life with peace, protection, and prosperity for generations.

We are deeply grateful to every devotee whose Sankalpa and Seva made this moment possible. The temple continues its daily worship — your continued offerings sustain the next phase of the Kshetra Nirmana journey.
