Spiritual Architect of the Sree Kovil
In the Tantric tradition, the Tantri is not merely a priest. He is the spiritual architect of the temple — the one who establishes, through generations of unbroken oral lineage, the conditions under which the divine presence can be invoked, sustained, and re-energised in the deity’s form. The Tantri inherits this role from his teacher and his lineage; it is never assumed by personal claim.
The temple’s Tantri belongs to the Tharananalloor Padinjaremana family — one of the venerated Tantric households of the Parashurama Kshetra tradition.
Role in the Kshetra Nirmana Yagna
As Tantri, he guides every ritual that touches the spiritual structure of the temple:
- The Shadadhara Pratishta of 18 October 2021, when the six-fold foundation of the main Sree Kovil was consecrated under his guidance
- The 17-day Naveekarana Kalasam from 24 May 2026, including every Homam (Ganapathi, Tattva, Brahma Kalasabhishekam) and every Kalasa pooja
- The climactic Pratishta on Sunday, 31 May 2026 at 7:30 AM — the Jeevakalasa Abhishekam that fully awakens Sree Ayyappa Swami in His new Sreekovil
- The Niyamam Nishchayikkal — the formal pledge by temple administrators to uphold the duties and traditions of the temple, witnessed by him
Lineage and authority
“The temple is a living body, and the Tantri is its physician through the generations.” — Vastu-Shilpa tradition
The unique spelling of the Tantri’s name, lineage, and titles in temple materials is preserved verbatim from the source documents. Any reference to him in print or in the temple’s records must follow the spelling vetted by the Tantri himself and the temple trust.
